In an area known for the production of great wine, a few kilometers from the town of Salice Salentino, Il Torchio was founded in 1993. The family had a long history of experience in the cultivation of the vine, handed down from generation to generation, but it wasn't until the early ninties when they started producing their own world class wines.

The company is located in the territory between the towns of Salice Salentino, Salento and Guagnano Fields, on the border with the Province of Brindisi, located in the heart of the karst depression in the valley of Cupa, in the range north of Lecce and lies, protected from greenhouses, and of the Madonna of St. Elias, in a large natural basin. The territory is morphologically characterized by olive groves and vineyards planted on soils rich in iron that gives them a reddish hue. Agriculture has always been an important voice Campiense economy, with the production of typical wines as Negroamaro, Malvasia, Primitivo.
